Varia™ RearVue 820 is the rearview radar and tail light that alerts you to approaching vehicles on your compatible Edge® cycling computer, Garmin smartwatch or Varia™ app on your smartphone. With our most powerful and precise radar tracking technology, it detects vehicle size and threat level with a wider field of view. The radar tracking technology identifies vehicles that are following cyclists at the same speed1 or attempting to pass. The tail light is visible from up to 2 km (1.24 miles) away and has a unique brake light flash pattern to alert other road users when you’re slowing down or stopping. For peace of mind and awareness on the longest of rides, get up to 24 hours of battery life in day flash mode and up to 30 hours of battery life in radar-only mode.
A must for anyone doing road cycling. It’s made my ride a lot safer as it’ll warn you of incoming kook cyclists too.
Excellent product that provides massive peace of mind on busy roads. The integration is seamless with my Garmin head unit; it picked up the sensor immediately and the alerts are clear without being too distracting. Highly recommend for any road cyclist.

I used to have an Edge 540 Solar which was not touch, and it was truly a pain to use. It felt like it was designed to be touch, then last minute added as a non-touch option. But I did like the data screen and the size. The solar charging was minimal, so when my Edge 540 was stolen I opted for the touch version without solar and I couldn't be happier! It has a good battery life, touch works so much better than the button versions, and the lack of a solar frame helps in certain light conditions as the solar frame would provide some glare once in a while. Highly recommend!
Sierra Bicycle Supply responded to my complaint in less than 2 hours and issued a refund for the defective tube.
This indicates to me that they are a good customer-oriented organization.
ORIGINAL COMPLAINT:
Both tires and tubes were well packaged and arrived safely. (All Condition Armadillo 700X25 and Standard Presta Valve tube 700X20-28C) I installed them and pumped them up with no problem. The next time I went to ride, the rear tube valve had a substantial leak. Loosening the nut and pressing the release pin resulted in a loud air leak that does not stop when I release the pin. The loud leak appears to stop when the nut is firmly tightened. I don't trust this arrangement.
I’ve had several cruxes, including an S works crux and for the money this is quite the value. I did a gravel race and cyclocross Race on my new DSW crux after cracking my S works frame in a Bike Crash. I was really impressed. Sure it’s about a pound heavier, but it has 90% of the performance. Great price point and probably more robust for CX.
