First came our CLX 64. Then the 32s. And after racking up multiple wins in Grand Tours, Worlds, and everything in between, we knew that our best bet was to take the line to new heights, or well, new depths. We needed to design one wheel that was a true quiver killer. One wheel that had all the aerodynamic benefits of the 64 in a package that climbed like the 32, and that’s where the all-new CLX 50 comes in.
When we set out to create the CLX 50 Disc, we had clear goals in mind—create wheels that are 48 to 54mm deep, aerodynamically optimized, ultra-wide, and under 1400 grams. This meant that they'd have to borrow some weight savings techniques that we developed for the CLX 32, take some aero guidance from the CLX 64, and keep all of the disc brake benefits that we've come to love if we were going to create what we like to call “the unicorn wheel."
Why discs you ask? With our disc-specific rims, we ditch the brake track making for a stronger, more impact-resistant rim. This way, you get a disc-specific carbon layup that optimizes stiffness, a weight as close to its rim-brake brethren as possible, and incredible brake modulation and power in all conditions.
Even though the CLX 50 is similar in weight to many wheels in the “lightweight” category, aerodynamics came at the forefront of the development. With this, we jumped headlong into Computational Fluid Dynamics computer modeling to arrive at various rim shapes that could make the CLX 50 as fast and light as possible. It took a while, but we narrowed the rim shape down to three contenders that were then CNC-machined into rims, built into wheels, and put into the Win Tunnel. In the tunnel, we tested every wheel, ours and the competition's; with a 24C tire (measuring 26C), as tires can drastically affect testing. We chose a modern-width tire to design our rims around, because they not only allow for less tire pressure (which results in more comfort and less rolling resistance) but are also just as aerodynamically efficient when paired with the correct rim width.
After finding the optimized rim shape that best supported our svelte weight requirements, we opted to lace the rims to our Aero Flange (AF) hub, via 21 DT Swiss Aerolite spokes, which features the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings. This way you get a complete, superior wheel system—not just a quick rim. And at the end of the day, it all amounts to a 50mm-deep, 1415-gram clincher disc wheelset that's not only ~300 grams lighter than the competition’s similar depth wheel, but is also measurably faster in every conceivable test than each wheel in its category.

The CLX III are exceptional I was a little apprehensive about buying them having ridden the Enve 4.5 but you feel less crosswinds and their lighter and spin fast. The spokes seemed to offer a lot of dampening vibration. Win win in my book.
Just perfect ítems ! Very honest!
from the color to the style and the fit! Perfect!
The S-Works Prevail 3 is one of the most comfortable bike helmets I’ve worn. The fit system adjusts perfectly, and once I ratchet the MIPS cradle to my head, the helmet almost disappears — it conforms so well that I barely notice I’m wearing it.
Ventilation is excellent. Riding in moderate weather around the mid-70s, my head stayed cool and comfortable without overheating. The airflow design really works.
Thankfully, I haven’t had to test the helmet in a crash, and I hope I never do. But the build quality and design give me a lot of confidence in the protection it offers. Highly recommended.
Very impressed by the whole experience with Sierra Bicycle Supply! The frameset was just as shown - brand new and gorgeous. It shipped fast with tracking info. Great pricing on the frameset and I picked up other stuff for my build. Great overall experience - highly recommended!!
The battery does exactly what it is supposed to. 50% more juice for those longer rides. The purchase experience was disappointing. The website says "Ready for pickup in 2–4 days — Or ships today" In reality, it shipped more than a week after I placed the order.

This is my second CoolCave Pannier because I destroyed the first one (More on that later slow).
This is a creat solution for carrying things you might not want to put in a soft bag such as tools, muddy boots, etc. I had a large u-lock tear through the bottom of a soft pannier a year ago and that is what got me looking for something like this.
I commute to work every day outside of the darkest days of winter and I have found that I can just dump my normal bike bag (Ortlieb Back Roller Plus) into this bag and pull it out when I get to work fast and easy. That way I only have one large protrusion sticking off the back of the bike instead of two. if I need to stop at the store on the way home I just pull the pannier out of the CoolCave, clip it on to the other side of the bike and dump my shopping in. This bag is big, easy to clean inside and out with a hose and it goes on and off the bike in a few seconds.
What’s not to like? Well, since you asked… The ascetic is pretty much like you took the trash bin fron under your desk and strapped it to your bike. I can see that would not be for everyone.
It catch’s a lot of wind at higher speeds. or when it is windy.
Finally, it is not quite as r=tough as you might think as I had to replace mine because I hit it on a steel bollard (Concrete filled metal pipe) swerving to avoid running over someone sleeping on the sidewalk. The bag hit the bollard and exploded, literally tearing itself in half and fracturing all over. I was not super happy about this in the moment (or the person sleeping on the sidewalk) but in hindsight it is not entirely a down-side as if the bag had held together it probably would have instantly stopped the bike nad sent me over the handlebars, or clothes-lined me on the bars, or worse yet, it could have pretty easily have deflected me into traffic. So, I like to think the bag sacrificed me to save me from my poor swerving skills.
I have seen reviews where they complained about the bag being noisy, but the only noice I have experienced is a little rattling on rough surfaces when the bag is empty. Most of the time I don’t hear it at all.
I also want to mention that while this bag is sold as an accessory for the Specialized GlobeHaul cargo bike, I am using it on an Lectric Xpress 750 with standard pannier racks and it fits and works with the included hardware.
I think this is not for everyone, but if you need an option to carry stuff that might not work in your soft pannier or backpack, this might be what you are looking for.
Works pertect!
